thanks. personally, I'm fond of Lovers Torn Apart, but I'm really proud of those others, too. Looking Into The Face of Death is one that I'm kind "ehh" on... mostly because it didn't come out the way I was hearing it in my head. sometimes it's hard to find the right instruments. Reason 2.0 has its incredible sounds, but then it also has a bunch of crappy ones.

Thanks for putting them all out there. I've been enjoying "When I Get Around To It" ever since you first posted it. I've even put it on a few mix CDs and everyone seems to like it. Keep up the good music-making, man.

Ah, how it pleases me to hear that I am on mix CDs. With my original work, no less! Most of the time, my cover songs are the only ones that do that.

Thanks.

Hey hope you dont mind, but I checked out your lj from the NES community and saw you had these songs posted. They are really excellent. I dont know if you have a website or a biography posted about your music background but if you did I would be interested / if you have played in previous bands or projects.

Either way keep up the good songwriting. What school are you going to for music?

I'm not going to school for music. Close, though. I'm going to school for recording. As much as I'd love to make a living from playing music... I think it's more likely to make money recording other people's.

Of course I don't mind. Hmm... you're the guy that posted the Metroid/Mega Man flash game, right?

Yeah, I guess I should post some sorta bio. Thing is, it wouldn't be that eventful. I started playing piano in elementary school and guitar in 7th grade... and I've always just played music to relieve boredom... never really to make money, anyway. maybe, in a roundabout way, to get girls, but that never worked. I formed a band with my friends in my freshman year of high school, but it never really went anywhere. And so now I'm still doing the same thing. Writing songs to relieve boredom and get girls. Whole entire bio, done.

Hello - I'm a regular over at OCR, and was scanning the "judges decision" board for tracks that might have been good, but not right for OCR (occasionally you can find gold that way). Apparently El Tema De Terra was one such, from the judges' comments, but I notice you don't have it up here yet. Will it be up in the future sometime?

But anyway, I like your Earthbound cover, and the Toxic cover... amuses me...

Just writing to say you make great music. Thank you.

I run an mp3 LiveJournal and I recently posted links to your LJ and your cover of "Toxic" in hopes of giving you a little more publicity. Since you are on LJ, I just thought that I would make you aware.

Hey there, I just did a search for your name after hearing some of your guitar covers of final fantasy songs (I am protected), I have to say they are absolutely incredible. I'll be downloading the rest of your music soon enough :)

I have no idea how I came across it, but I'm assuming it was at SA, and it is called: Michael Gum - Eight Melodies. And I really like it, and would like to learn how to play it. What is it/where's it from? Sounds simple enough. Drop me a line at SA (LakeMalcom)? Or send an email to lakemalcom at yahoo.com. (Also the terra theme rocks and I like your brick cover, too).

I've actually tabbed the song out for videogamejam.com, though it's just the melody and not my version with chords. It's available here.

It's from the game Earthbound for SNES. If you haven't played it, do yourself a favor. It's one of my favorite games ever.

I've really enjoyed your music having seen it on SA, and would like to ask you a question:

How did you learn to play the guitar? I've been looking to learn for a while. Whenever I ask my guitar playing friends, though, their first question to me is "Well what kind of stuff would you like to play?" I never know how to answer, although I think I'd be really happy if I could play in your style.

Either way, thank you very much for the tracks, they've all been great!

I took lessons for a few years. A lot of stuff I've just kinda developed from listening to music and messing around on guitar.

Hey, I first saw your songs over at SA in the videogame cover thread, and then someone NMD was talking about how awesome your cover of Toxic was, so I googled and came across this. I love your music, especially the covers of Something In The Way and the AFI cover (I haven't listened to any AFI, but your cover reminded me a lot of Elliott Smith)
I'd love to hear some Elliott Smith covers in the future, if you're into that sort of thing- either way, thanks for the great music :)

I'm a huge fan of your work. Your original RPG stuff is fantastic.

I just finished Music Box Song and it is so well done. I can't think of the best way to word it but suffice it to say that I want to play this nonexistant RPG just from hearing this one song. The songs are so believable they almost give you a story on their own.

Just finished listening to Lovers Torn Apart... fantastic.

Keep up the good work.

This is PitifulLoser from SA. Just FYI.
